What a wonderful facility! I had a tour at Grand Living at Tamaya recently. I was amazed at the wonderful customer service. Every employee greeted me with well wishes on the way in and on the way out. The meal served for lunch was visually pleasing and delicious. It would be an honor to live and / or work at such a luxurious facility. And, the folks sitting outfront were such a delight! The first impression is everything; they sold me at hello!

Grand Living at Tamaya is an extraordinary place staffed by extraordinary people. The facility reminds me of an elegant London hotel I stayed in. It is tastefully decorated and has everything I need to live independently including an art studio, a workout room, a theatre, a library, a game room, a pool and hot tub, and three dining venues. But what makes it so special is not the facility––It is the people who provide compassionate care for every resident. They all have an unparalleled commitment to exceptional service–– from the general manager, the concierges, the maintenance staff, the activities staff, the transportation staff, the nursing staff, and to the chefs and the servers. To top it all off, the food and beverages served at Grand Living are what you might find at a five-star hotel.

My parents recently moved to Grand Living at Tamaya. As their daughter, I am so thrilled that they have found a beautiful home where they are safe, well cared for, and enjoying their time with staff and residents. Thank you Grand Living!

Julie May, RN

Director of Health and Wellness

Julie knew from a young age she wanted to be a nurse and found her passion in working with seniors. Within Julie’s career she had the honor to care for the first woman to graduate from Harvard, the doctor who developed a valve for heart transplant surgery, and many more incredible people. Julie loves seeing beyond the aches and pains, decreased mobility and any other issues to meet the real person through their memories, stories and pictures. Julie graduated from the University of Iowa (Go Hawkeyes!) in 1987, moved to Texas working in the hospital setting and migrated to beautiful Florida where she found herself inspired by her work in senior living environments.

I have a picture of myself at 4 years old, playing nurse. I knew then and even more now that nursing is more than a career, it is my calling and I have loved every moment of it.

A coworker told him about an opportunity to be part of a company that exemplifies the same values instilled by the Navy, and that is how he became a Grand Living team member.

“As a member of the Grand Living family, I take pride in the fact that I get to serve our senior residents and aid in providing them the best possible care, all while getting to know them personally and developing lasting relationships.”
