Ann Highlander

Sales Counselor

Ann has devoted over 25 years of service in healthcare and senior living leadership holding roles as Director of Health and Wellness, Director of Sales, and Assisted Living Manager. Driven by her passion to help others, Ann takes pride in providing the best service possible. With a background in nursing, sales, customer service, and relationship building, Ann has become a trusted partner in the navigation process of retirement living. As a Sales Counselor with Grand Living, this is both her goal and her reward.

Ashton Hinrichs

Sales Counselor

With over a decade of experience in international real estate and senior living, Ashton is dedicated to helping individuals find their perfect space within the Tamaya community. She focuses on each resident’s unique needs and interests, believing every move should align with their lifestyle and values. Deeply committed to serving older adults, Ashton ensures each move is seamless, comfortable, and dignified—appreciating and honoring every individual’s story.  A proud Jacksonville native, she enjoys spending time with her family, creating abstract paintings, and supporting local efforts to protect her hometown’s natural beauty.

Bianca Hodges

Sales Counselor

Bianca comes from a long and dedicated background in healthcare, holding a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration. She is currently pursuing her Master’s in the same field and is passionate about helping residents and their families navigate the transition into Grand Living with compassion and care. Bianca is dedicated to delivering high-quality service, fostering teamwork, and creating a welcoming environment for all residents. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and discovering new places.

Michelle Jones

Business Office Manager

Michelle has over 10 years of experience in the Business Office for Senior Living, both in Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living. Working in senior care with residents and their families has brought her much joy and success. She also has a background in Human Resources and Recruiting which she always enjoyed. Being able to serve the residents and families and being a part of staff onboarding and recognition makes her position at Grand Living the perfect place for her. When Michelle is not at Grand Living, she loves spending time with her family, going to the beach or being outdoors enjoying the Florida sunshine.

Harriet Johnson

Director of Luminations

Harriet brings more than a decade of experience in the healthcare field. She has a remarkable passion for creating FIRST CLASS HAPPINESS® in the lives of seniors through exceptional service and personalized care. Grand Living has helped her sharpen her skills to do what she loves the most: caring for and forming meaningful relationships with residents. Outside of Grand Living, she enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren.

Deshandria Williams

Dining Room Manager

Deshandria is a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience in the culinary and hospitality industry. Originally from Orlando, Florida, she has developed her craft in world-class settings including Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, luxury resorts, government institutions, universities, and senior-living communities across the Washington, D.C. area. She holds an Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts and a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management with a focus on Baking and Pastry. Starting her career in back-of-house operations, Deshandria discovered her passion for connecting with guests and now excels in delivering personalized, memorable dining experiences. Her dedication to service and relationship-building continues to elevate every community she serves.

Eddie Avery

Director of Maintenance

Eddie Avery is a St. Louis, MO native. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy where he served our country for 23 years before retiring. The Navy taught him lifelong lessons about team building, honor, trust, and commitment. Eddie and his wife then moved to Jacksonville, FL where he was the Safety Director for the North Florida Shipyards. A coworker told him about an opportunity to be part of a company that exemplifies the same values instilled by the Navy, and that is how he became a Grand Living team member.

Peter Rodriguez

Director of Environmental Services

Peter comes to us with 20+ years of experience in the hospitality and healthcare industries. He moved to Jacksonville from Boston in 2017 after working with the Hawthorn Hotel for 7 years. He’s passionate about serving others and especially seniors. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his dog, Casper, and watching the Celtics. Peter looks forward to improving the quality of service and enhancing the Grand Living experience.

Kristi Collins

Director of Facets

Kristi brings a dynamic background in hospitality, with experience spanning from Topgolf to the Sawgrass Marriott, to her role at Grand Living. With a genuine passion for service and relationship-building, Kristi thrives on creating meaningful connections and bringing like-minded individuals together. Her commitment to excellence and innovation is focused on enhancing the resident experience through thoughtful programming and engaging events. Outside of work, Kristi enjoys relaxing poolside and embracing the Florida sunshine.

Liesl Berry

Director of Fitness

With decades of experience in the wellness field, Liesl is passionate about designing dynamic, personalized programs that blend warmth, compassion, and playfulness with a steadfast commitment to health. She thoughtfully tailors fitness plans to meet individual needs—whether addressing mobility challenges, improving flexibility, or enhancing cardiovascular health. Dedicated to helping residents achieve their personal goals, Liesl deeply values Grand Living’s commitment to each resident’s well-being. As a nationally board-certified health and wellness coach and fitness trainer specializing in senior fitness, she is enthusiastic about empowering every individual to feel valued, supported, and inspired throughout their wellness journey.
