Julia Santeliz

Executive Director

Julia brings more than 30 years of senior living leadership experience, shaped by a deep commitment to resident-centered service and operational excellence. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Dallas Baptist University and an MBA with a concentration in healthcare management and policy from the University of Miami. Additionally, she is nationally and Texas-certified as a Director of Assisted Living, as well as a Certified Dementia Practitioner. Known for her warm, compassionate approach, Julia is dedicated to enhancing the lives of residents and families while upholding the high standards and values of Grand Living. A San Angelo native, she combines a strong clinical understanding with a passion for quality care, informed by many years of leading senior living communities and businesses in Florida. She is excited to serve the Austin community and partner with her team to ensure The Sterling Touch® is reflected in every experience.

Amanda Rodriguez

Sales Counselor

Amanda, who is originally from Colorado, holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy from Colorado State University. She is a Board-Certified Music Therapist specializing in senior living and hospice care. Her journey in senior living began at age 13 when she played piano for seniors in a skilled nursing community to overcome performance anxiety. Amanda chose Grand Living for its culture of excellence and forward-thinking vision, which align with her high standards and dedication to providing exceptional personalized service. She loves helping seniors and prioritizes providing remarkable experiences every single day. Outside of work, Amanda enjoys adventuring outdoors with her husband, whom she met in third grade, and their dog, Lou. Amanda also loves to unwind by enjoying good takeout on the sofa.

Kourtney Jenkins

Sales Counselor

Kourtney, a proud San Antonio native, discovered her passion for helping others early in her career. After earning her degree, she embraced her love for travel as a flight attendant in Kansas City, MO, before returning to Texas to be closer to family. Her career path led her to mentor licensed agents at a Fortune 500 company, where she realized her true calling—making a meaningful difference in people’s lives. This passion inspired her transition to senior living in 2016 as a Sales Director in San Antonio, and in 2021, she embraced a new chapter in the greater Austin area, drawn by its vibrant outdoor lifestyle. When she’s not building connections with residents and staff at Grand Living, Kourtney cherishes time with her 8-year-old daughter, Kalista, enjoying sunny days at pools, water parks, or near the water.

Patricia Wicks

Sales & Marketing Coordinator

Patricia brings a strong background in property management, real estate, and interior design to her role. Drawn to Grand Living’s warmth, hospitality, and resident-centered excellence, she knew from the moment she arrived that it was a place where her strengths in relationship building, service, and design could truly shine. Patricia finds deep purpose in the senior living industry, especially in supporting meaningful decisions and creating environments where residents feel genuinely cared for. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, exploring interior design, and staying active.

Lucas Alonso

Business Office Manager

Lucas brings a strong background in business management and hospitality. A graduate of West Virginia University with a degree in Business Management, Lucas spent nine years in the hotel industry, including four as a General Manager, before transitioning to senior living. Drawn to Grand Living by the welcoming team and exciting opportunities, he is eager to build meaningful connections with residents. Outside of work, Lucas enjoys spending time with his wife, Nicole, and their two children, Josephine and Arlo. A passionate sports fan, he proudly supports Chicago teams and Aston Villa FC.

Beth McCay

Director of Health and Wellness

Beth McCay brings a strong clinical foundation and deep passion for senior care. She holds a BS in Nursing from Georgetown University and a BS in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin, supported by 17 years of community-based nursing experience across skilled nursing, occupational health, correctional care, and state survey work. Beth chose Grand Living for its genuine commitment to The Sterling Touch and its culture of exceptional, relationship-centered service. She finds joy in building meaningful connections with residents and families, honoring their stories, and creating memorable moments every day. Outside of work, Beth enjoys life with her husband, three boys, and dog, staying active through jogging, cycling, and strength training, indulging in Disney trips, and watching Christmas movies all year long.

Carson Couger

Director of LUMINATONS

Carson is a dedicated healthcare professional who holds a degree in Health Professions from Baylor University and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine. She began her career in senior living as a Memory Care Activities Coordinator, where she discovered a passion for bringing joy to residents through meaningful experiences. Drawn to Grand Living for its Sterling Principles and the authentic compassion shown by her colleagues, Carson is committed to creating a warm, lasting community for residents and their families. Outside of work, she enjoys attending concerts, paddleboarding, and spending time with loved ones.

Gabriel Ramos

Executive Chef

With a distinguished career spanning global fine dining, academia, and luxury hospitality, Chef Gabriel brings an unparalleled passion for culinary excellence to Grand Living. A graduate of Johnson & Wales University, he holds an MBA in Hospitality, along with degrees in Culinary Arts and Food Service Management. His experience includes leadership roles at Magnolia Golf Management, Twin Creeks Country Club, and Omni Barton Creek, as well as teaching as a Culinary Adjunct Professor at Austin Community College. Committed to redefining senior living dining, he elevates each meal into an unforgettable experience that rivals top restaurants. Beyond the kitchen, he is deeply invested in fitness, nutrition, mentorship, and personal growth, blending his expertise in gastronomy with a holistic approach to well-being.

Ruben Gonzalez

Director of Maintenance

Ruben brings 28 years of hospitality experience as a General Manager and Regional Director of Operations, with certifications from Marriott, Hilton, InterContinental Hotel Group, and Choice Hotels & Resorts. A former highway first responder and a certified Texas All Lines insurance adjuster, he now applies his specialized skill set to delivering Grand Living’s STERLING TOUCH—a service philosophy rooted in excellence, care, and attention to detail. His passion for senior living began when he saw the joy his daughter’s dance performances brought to residents, inspiring him to create meaningful connections and enhance their well-being. An avid marathon runner, he finds clarity and focus through running. In his spare time, he enjoys RV adventures with his wife and their miniature Dachshund, Mocha Latte, as well as home projects and playing the drums.

Julian English

Director of Environmental Services

Julian is a dedicated professional with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from South Arkansas University. With over a decade of leadership experience in environmental services, she has held key roles, including Director, Senior Director, and Regional Director. Her passion for senior living stems from a lifelong commitment to helping others and a deep appreciation for the impact of compassionate care. She thrives on fostering meaningful relationships with residents and creating environments where older adults feel valued, independent, and supported. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband of 23 years and their three daughters, cheering them on as they compete with their all-girls flag football team, Texas Fury.

Ananda Glover

Director of FACETS

With over a decade of experience in senior living community enrichment, Ananda’s purpose in this role is to help residents create a vibrant and fulfilling life after retirement. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Southern University A&M College and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in healthcare administration from Lamar University. Her goal is to help every resident feel seen, inspired, and empowered to live life to the fullest. Outside of work, she brings the same energy and enthusiasm to her personal life as a first-degree black belt, former gymnast, and collegiate cheerleader. During her free time, she enjoys exploring Austin with her maltipoo, Baby.

Joseph David

Director of Fitness

Joseph brings a unique blend of classical training and holistic wellness to the community. He attended Southwest Texas State University, majoring in music and opera performance, and continued his vocal studies at the Austrian American Mozart Academy and the Odessa Ukraine Music Conservatory. Joseph also holds numerous certifications, including personal training, senior fitness, yoga instruction and therapy, reflexology, and Reiki, along with specialized training in exercise therapy and Parkinson’s awareness. With over a decade of experience in physical therapy clinics, wellness centers, and as a lead instructor at the Jewish Community Center in Austin, he is passionate about helping others achieve their best selves. Joseph was drawn to Grand Living by its high standards and exceptional service, and he finds daily joy in supporting residents’ health, wellness, and happiness through personalized, engaging fitness experiences.
