The second I walked into the building, i was greeted by vibrant smiles and good energy. Every staff member seemed overjoyed to assist with any of my concerns, or even just to strike a friendly conversation. Rene Sanz

Executive Director

Rene Sanz brings over 30 years of senior living and hospitality experience to Grand Living at Coral Gables. Rene began his career and held positions as a Sales and Marketing Director, Executive Director, and Director of Operations, overseeing communities in Georgia, Philadelphia, and Florida. Rene genuinely enjoys the daily interaction with residents, families, and team members. His passion lies with always putting them first. Without a doubt, Rene exudes an “all heart” approach to his work, responsibilities, and goals. In his free time, Rene loves to cook and watch sports.

Suzette Hadermann

Director of Sales

With over 22 years or experience in the senior living industry, serving seniors has been Suzette’s lifelong passion and commitment. Suzette takes pride in her warm and compassionate service, and is gifted with the ability to form fast, meaningful connections with whomever she encounters.
She deeply values being able to contribute positively to the lives of our residents. She has two adult children and three grandchildren, whom she adores and cherishes.

Karina Lorenzo

Sales Counselor

Born and raised in Miami, FL, Karina brings over 16 years of experience in the senior living industry and is passionate about connecting and providing support for seniors and their families. She is dedicated to our residents and devoted to our Grand Living mission of delivering FIRST CLASS HAPPINESS®. In her spare time, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, watching live music, and traveling.

Viviana’s natural talent for connecting with individuals and celebrating their unique qualities defines her approach. She eagerly shares the vibrant Grand Living culture and consistently applies The Sterling Touch® signature service in her role.

Elba Gonzalez

Sales & Marketing Coordinator

Elba was born in The Dominican Republic and grew up in New York City, where she obtained her BA in Liberal Arts with concentration in Fine Arts at the City College of New York. Elba’s passion for serving others has brought her to Grand Living with over 10 years of diverse experience in retail sales, hospitality, and luxury senior living. Her relationship with her grandmother growing up has helped her cultivate genuine empathy and compassion towards our residents and their families. She is committed to providing The Sterling Touch® signature service during the move-in transition and providing FIRST CLASS HAPPINESS® to residents every day. In her spare time, she treasures moments with her twin boys and husband. She enjoys the arts, vegetarian dishes, and dancing at home with her kids.

Sandra Pulice

Business Office Manager

Originally from Los Angeles, California, Sandra brings over 25 years of experience in accounting, payroll, and administration to her role at Grand Living. Sandra has had the privilege of working with the senior community for over 14 years as a business office manager. She is deeply passionate about innovation and strives to continuously improve the lives of residents and team members alike.

Richard Hernandez

Assistant Director of Health & Wellness

Richard brings over 20 years of healthcare experience working in various clinical, non-clinical, and leadership roles. With a strong foundation in direct care experience, Richard is capable of allowing residents to maintain their dignity and independence. Richard has owned two assisted living communities and has served as a clinical liaison to multiple senior living campuses. These experiences have granted him an in-depth understanding of how to support residents in their journey into their golden years.

Javier Rios

Executive Chef

As Executive Chef, Javier Rios designs customized menus that emphasize both health and flavor, tailored to the preferences of the residents. His culinary inspiration is rooted in his childhood experiences, where he observed his mother preparing meals for large groups daily. Javier’s early involvement in the kitchen, assisting with the preparation of vegetables and fresh herbs, ignited his passion for cooking. Outside of work, Javier enjoys exercising and supporting his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys.

Willy Mondesir

Dining Room Manager

Willy has over 25 years of experience serving seniors in the food and beverage field. He deeply enjoys making a profound impact in the lives of residents through their culinary experience. In his free time, he enjoys traveling and spending time with family.

Julio Aliluna

Director of Maintenance

Julio comes to Grand Living with 23 years of service in the senior living industry in the maintenance department and as a Director of Environmental Services. Julio loves working with seniors and listening to their stories. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, deep-sea fishing on his boat, visiting the sandbars, and going for joyrides with friends and family.

Cristy Caballero

Director of Facets

Cristy is a dedicated professional with over a decade of experience in senior living. She excels in designing and delivering engaging activities, with a strong emphasis on functional activities that enhance daily quality of life and support overall well-being. Her versatile approach ensures that each activity is both impactful and enjoyable. Outside of work, Cristy is committed to serving others and making meaningful contributions to her community.
