WOW! Grand Living LWR is really terrific. I have been living here since it opened and it only gets better. The Grand Living Corporation has built more than 10 of these facilities and improved the design with each one. The staff is very friendly. I think they must have to pass a friendliness test to get hired. The rooms are spacious and cleaned every week. The food is outstanding especially considering the menu is changed every day and up to 150 people are fed at each meal. Activities are readily available in the gym, in the pool, the 200 seat theater, and in the arts and crafts rooms spread around the facility. I like the exercise programs, jeopardy, poker, beanbag toss, Sunday afternoon movies and the music performances. The assisted living services are very professional, comprehensive, and stationed on every floor. When needed, they are delivered to your door. I’m glad I moved here four years ago.

The Grand Living senior citizen facility has been a life savor for my wife and me. Barbara has a number of physical problems as do we all at a certain age. Thirteen years ago she was stricken with lung cancer followed by Parkinson’s Disease two years later. Two years ago I could no longer be my wife’s total caregiver and had to find a facility where I could have assistance caring for her. We went to another well recognized senior facility at first. My wife however continued to lose weight and if we had stayed there I would have lost her. After several weeks we switched to Grand Living and she was happy and began to immediately gain back her weight. I believe Grand Living might well be the premier senior citizen facility in Florida. While the building is beautiful (there is a full size gym and numerous exercise classes, with Parkinson’s Disease doctors indicate exercise is as important as medicine), they have wonderful entertainment and the staff is exceptionally friendly and know every ones name (that includes cleaning, maintenance and to an extent the kitchen staff). We are very much at home here and have been protected here during the pandemic. We could not ask for more.

When we moved to Grand Living, my husband had health issues that presented the possibility he would pass away before I did. If that happened, my plan was to move out and get an apartment of my own. My husband did pass away recently, but, contrary to what I planned before moving into Grand Living, I no longer have any intention of moving. Why? To start with, the staff at GL is amazing. Staff and residents are on a first-name basis and that contributes to making residents feel as though they are part of a big family and GL is a home, not a facility. When my husband died, just about every staff member, from servers in the dining room to the Executive Director when out of their way to hug me and try to make me feel better. Even though we had only been here four months, they provided a bus so residents who knew us could attend the Memorial Service. The overall philosophy of GL appears to be “What can we do to make our residents happy?”
